01About

Born in New York. Built in New York. Recruited for New York.

Jason Walker is one of the most powerful brokers working in New York real estate today. He earned Douglas Elliman’s ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in his first year in the industry, and has been named a ‘Top 10’ agent there ever since.

Prior to entering the real estate world, Jason, a native New Yorker, cultivated strong business management and negotiation skills working as a senior executive at one of the Nation’s top designer companies. In his role as Executive Vice President, Jason interfaced with the likes of Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and QVC. He produced record sales numbers each year and managed multi-million dollar sales territories, both in the US and abroad.

Jason Walker was personally recruited to join Douglas Elliman by the company’s CEO, Dottie Herman. According to Herman, “Jason’s success is due to his great interpersonal skills, penchant for thinking ‘out of the box,’ and meticulous attention to details.” Jason brings a genuine concern for people’s needs to every real estate transaction, and he is known for simply “delivering results.” His warm and friendly nature, as well as his ingenuity and efficiency have earned him lifelong clients, many of whom are celebrities and business leaders from all corners of the globe.

Whether Jason is locating a moderately priced studio for a first-time investor or selling a luxury condominium for one of his high-profile clients, he treats each transaction as if it is his most important.

Jason Walker is a marketing expert and he has strong ties to the media community. Jason has been written about in various publications, and he secures prime exposure for his clients’ properties each time he receives a listing. He has a genuine passion for New York’s architectural landscape, its people and for real estate in general.

Jason donates much of his free time to charitable endeavors in New York City, he loves animals, and he serves as the President of his luxury condominium’s Board of Managers.

He doesn’t just sell residences — he represents entire buildings.

Alongside resale, Jason works in new development sales — representing buildings for the people who build them, and bringing them to buyers in New York and abroad.

What his clients say

“I checked out properties and agents for years until I bought my first condominium. Years. I'm tough — maybe more like scrutinous, as many New Yorkers are. I bought that first condominium in Manhattan with Jason. Then I bought several more. When it comes to New York City properties, I only work with Jason.”

Agents Who Give Back: Jason Walker’s Mission to Rescue Dogs

“I feel that animals have no voice, so we have to be their voice. I have to speak for them and fight for them.”

Jason Walker

His reach extends far beyond New York — and so does the story.

In 2016 Jason was asked by the founder of the Rescue Paw Foundation if he would help transport at-risk dogs out of China. Within a week he was on a plane to Shanghai, and he has never looked back.

He now fits 72-to-96-hour trips to China around the listings, working with No Dogs Left Behind to pull dogs directly from slaughterhouses, meat trucks and wet markets, and has always given a portion of his commission to rescue work. Clients have met him at the airport to adopt one; where they are willing, the dog goes with the keys, as a closing gift with a year of daycare.

It has changed what he looks for in a building, too. Elliman Magazine opened its Winter 2023 trends pages on him: the balcony of his own Houston apartment given over to a strip of real sod and a fire hydrant, re-laid every month with the common charges, for the two dogs he brought out of China.
